The invention relates to a metal strip (1) which defines an outer surface (21) and an inner surface (22), wherein on at least one of the surfaces (21, 22) a plurality of measuring surfaces with a size of 625 mm2 are set on the basis of DIN EN 10247 - July 2007 - to determine the content of non-metallic inclusions and all measuring surfaces are completely screened with a magnification of 200:1. The number of inclusions determined per measuring surface in the case of a first size class of inclusions between 2 mum and smaller than 5 mum lies within a lower limit of no inclusions and an upper limit of 25 inclusions, in the case of a second size class of inclusions between 5 mum and smaller than 10 mum within a lower limit of no inclusions and an upper limit of 6 inclusions, and in the case of a third size class of inclusions between 10 mum and smaller than 15 mum within a lower limit of no inclusions and an upper limit of 4 inclusions. |
