The present invention relates to an electricity distribution system and method, which facilitate the uptake of clean energy electricity generation apparatus. Electricity generation apparatus, such as solar panels, may be installed at a remote location, such as on the roof of a commercial, industrial property. Shares in the solar panel (s) are owned by a consumer of electricity who may be remote and/or live in a property where it is not convenient to install solar panels, such as a rental property or an apartment, for example. The amount of electricity generated by the pane(s) is monitored and determined. The owner of the solar panel receives a share of the value of the electricity generated by the solar panel at the commercial premises. The owner of the commercial premises may also receive a share, or purchase a share of the electricity generated. |
