[Class 20 (iii)] A fitting attached to a sash cord and housed in a hole h in a sliding sash extending between the cord groove and the face of the sash, consists of a tube a or an angular member l provided with a flange b engaging the face of the sash, and with holes through which one or more bolts e may be passed ; the bolts e also pass through the cord g and nuts f thereon press directly on to the cord, the holes c on one side of the tube being large enough to allow the nuts to pass through them. The pocket piece of the window frame may be removable without prior removal of the stop and parting beads, and may be capable of being pushed inwards at one end, and be normally held,by a sliding bolt. |
