PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus configured to collate a virtual image generated by a computer with a photographic image captured actually.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus receives an inspection image of a body internal structure generated by a computer and a photographic image of the body internal structure. Corresponding points between the inspection image and the photographic image are set to generate a virtual surface representing the body internal structure. On the generated virtual surface, an image formed by projecting the photographic image as texture is generated. An inspection image with corresponding points set on the photographic image is used as texture, to display a result of applying translucent synthesis to the generated image.
