PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erosion control dam that enables easy and speedy installation and removal of a horizontal steel pipe and can securely catch boulders, driftwood, etc., flowing down from an upstream side of a river by the horizontal steel pipe, and a method of fitting a steel pipe wall.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an erosion control dam 1 which has a steel pipe wall 2 fitted to a dam body part 10 having a slit part 15 formed. The steel pipe wall 2 includes a vertical steel pipe 3 which is provided at the dam body part 10 and extends in a water depth direction Y and a horizontal steel pipe 4 which is provided at the slit part 15 and extends in a river width direction X. The horizontal steel pipe 4 has a guide member 6 fitted to an end part in the river width direction X, and the guide member 6 is inserted into a gap G formed between the vertical steel pipe 3 and the dam body part 10. |
