Device (100) for managing an accumulator, comprising: • a plurality of strain gauges (14) comprising at least three strain gauges (14A, 14B, 14C), the strain gauges being arranged in such a way as to measure the strains along at least three distinct strain axes; • a measurement device (40) making it possible to measure the deformations undergone by each gauge along its strain axis; • a reversible electric switch (60); • a calculation device (50) controlling the opening and the closing of the electric switch (60), as a function of the measurements made by the measurement device (40). Such a device for measuring strains makes it possible to better follow in real time the state of charge, of ageing or of safety of an accumulator.
