<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a printer by simplifying mechanism components and a control necessary for rotating a paper feed part to thereby change the posture of the paper feed part. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: the paper feed part configured to hold a recording medium; a support part configured to rotatably support the paper feed part; an electric part configured to rotate the paper feed part; a posture sensor configured to detect a preset reference posture of the paper feed part; and a positioning means configured to position and stop the paper feed part 1 in the stop target posture, wherein the paper feed part is rotated to change to the stop target posture related with the reference posture based on the detection of the posture sensor. The printer further includes an output quantity detection part configured to detect the output quantity of the electric part, and a measurement of the output quantity starts from a point of time when the posture sensor detects that the paper feed part assumes the reference posture, and the drive of the electric part is controlled in such a way that the output quantity becomes a target output quantity necessary to change the posture of the paper feed part to the stop target posture, and a single reference posture is related with a plurality of stop target postures, and then, the posture of the paper feed part is changed to the plurality of stop target postures by a single posture sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
