The present invention relates to a charging device that includes a first unit (13) arranged in the outside of a vehicle (1), and a second unit (14) on a side of the vehicle. The charging device charges an electric energy storing device (2) of the vehicle (1) with electricity in a contactless manner. In order to simplify a contactless charging process for the vehicle including the electric energy storing device, and in order to reduce a gap or the distance (16) between the first unit (13) and the second unit (14), the second unit (14) on the side of the vehicle can be moved toward the firs unit (13) arranged in the outside the vehicle (1).
