The present invention relates to a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) method considering a new carrier type (NCT) in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the same. A base station according to the present invention comprises: a CoMP control unit for determining performance of a CoMP operation for a terminal to which a radio resource control (RRC) connection is configured; a message processing unit for generating an RRC connection reconfiguration message including CoMP configuration information; a transmission unit for transmitting the generated RRC connection reconfiguration message to the terminal; and a reception unit for receiving an RRC connection reconfiguration completion message corresponding to the RRC connection reconfiguration message from the terminal, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message generated by the message processing unit further includes a QCL information indicating a quasi co-location relation between antenna ports, the QCL information being specific to a new carrier type (NCT) cell connected to the terminal according to the CoMP configuration.
