PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool sharpness measuring apparatus capable of accurately measuring the sharpness of a cutting tool even when a peak shape and thickness thereof are different, capable of rapidly performing preparation work before measurement when successively measuring the sharpness of a plurality of cutting tools, and excellent in functionality.SOLUTION: A cutting tool sharpness measuring apparatus is comprised of: a vise mechanism 1 capable of sandwiching a sword body part of a cutting tool B to fix it while turning a cutting edge upward; a sample fixing part 2 arranged above the vise mechanism 1 and capable of fixing a sample S as an object to be cut; a supporting mechanism 3 for supporting the sample fixing part 2 on the vise mechanism 1 in a vertically movable manner; a vise angle adjustment mechanism 4 capable of adjusting the inclination of the vise mechanism 1 in a stepless manner; a reciprocating drive mechanism 5 for making the vise mechanism 1 perform reciprocating motion by a driving source 51, a power transmission mechanism 52, and a slide guide 53; and a control device 6 for controlling the reciprocating drive mechanism 5 on the basis of setting data input. |
