PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a piezoelectric material including no lead nor potassium, and having a high piezoelectric constant and a good insulating property; and a piezoelectric element arranged by use of the piezoelectric material.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric material 2 comprises: a perovskite metal oxide expressed by the general formula (1), (NaBa)(NbTi)O(where x meets 0.80≤x≤0.95, and y meets 0.85≤y≤0.95); and Zn. In the piezoelectric material, the content of Zn is 0-5 mol% (exclusive of 0 mol%) to 1 mol of the perovskite metal oxide.
