PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-reflection article having superior stain resistance and abrasion resistance, and an image display device having the same.SOLUTION: An anti-reflection article comprises: a micro-protrusion structure having a micro-protrusion group comprising a plurality of densely arranged micro-protrusions, and a covering layer laminated on at least one surface of a transparent base material in the described order. Distance between two adjacent micro-protrusions of the micro-protrusion structure is no more than a shortest wavelength in a wavelength range of anti-reflection target electromagnetic waves. At least part of the micro-protrusion group is a convex protrusion group comprising apical micro-protrusions and a plurality of peripheral micro-protrusions which are formed surrounding the apical micro-protrusions and are lower in height than the apical micro-protrusions. A surface on the covering layer side has protruding portions which are caused by the apical micro-protrusions.
