The adjusting device (10) has a control unit (30) which is provided for controlling the speed of drive device (20). A gear box (40) is provided for performing translational movement of the anchor point (100) with drive device. A sensor device (50) is signal-communicating connected to control unit for determining the actual speed of the drive device. The control unit is adapted for setting a constant target rotational speed for the drive device and the readjustment of the drive device based on the determined actual speed. An independent claim is included for method for adjusting height of anchoring point of belt guide in vehicle.
