PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement high efficiency power amplification even if a power amplifier is of an EER type or an ET type.SOLUTION: A power amplification device includes: the power amplifier supplied with a modulation current changing in accordance with an input signal, and configured to amplify the input signal; a current detection section for detecting a value of the modulation current; a load current model section for modeling a current required in the power amplifier on the basis of the value of the modulation current detected by the current detection section and an amplitude component of the input signal, and outputting it as a current model; a load current computation section for computing a load current prediction value synchronized with the amplitude component of the input signal by the use of the current model; a modulation signal generation unit for generating a modulation signal from the load current prediction value and the amplitude component of the input signal; and a power supply modulation unit for modulating a current supplied to the power amplifier in synchronism with the input signal on the basis of the modulation signal, and outputting the modulated current as the modulation current to the power amplifier. |
