PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine work machine capable of stably starting an engine even when a carburetor goes wrong. ! SOLUTION: An engine work machine which drives a work machine with an engine comprises: a cell motor which starts the engine by being driven with electric power supplied from a battery; and start control means which controls electric power supply to the cell motor. The start control means starts the engine by driving the cell motor at a first rotation speed N1 and, when determining that the engine is not started after a lapse of predetermined time, driving the cell motor at a second rotation speed N2 faster than the first rotation speed. !
