PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device by which a video having small luminance unevenness can be observed.SOLUTION: A projection type display device 10 includes: a recursive screen 11; a projector 12 having at least a projection optical part provided with a projection video processing part which processes a signal of a video to be projected on the recursive screen 11 and a projection part 26 which projects the video from the projection video processing part on the recursive screen 11; and a correction mechanism which corrects luminance distribution of the video projected on the recursive screen 11 from the projector 12, when a position of a light emitting plane 26a of the projection part 26 of the projector 12 to the projection plane 11a of the recursive screen 11 is closer to each other in a distance, compared to an optimal position, or when a position of a light emitting plane 26a of the projection part 26 of the projector 12 to the projection plane 11a of the recursive screen 11 is farther from each other in a distance, compared to the optimal position. |
