A wine aerator (10) comprises a spherical aerating member (14) and an open-mouthed hemispherical receptacle (12) which releasably receives the aerating member. The receptacle (12) has an inner surface, an outer surface, and an outlet. Projections (26a, 26b, 26c) project from the inner surface of the receptacle (12) and support the aerating member (14) within the receptacle. Ribs (22) extend along the outer surface of the receptacle (12) and space the receptacle apart from a wine glass (30). |
