<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeper allowing working efficiency to be improved in a sleeper replacement work performed in a tunnel or the like, and a sleeper installation method.SOLUTION: A sleeper 1 is suitable when an existing sleeper is replaced, and includes: longitudinal sleeper bodies 5 each oblongly extending in the extension direction of each of railway rails 51; and connectors 16 capable of connecting the plurality of longitudinal sleeper bodies 5 to each other. When the existing sleeper is replaced, separate longitudinal sleeper bodies 5 are disposed in respective positions below the two railway rails 51 where the existing sleeper is already removed, and the connectors 16 are respectively inserted into insertion holes 12 provided in the longitudinal sleeper bodies 5, thus integrally connecting the plurality of longitudinal sleeper bodies 5.</p> |
