After a double tap from the user to start the sensor module, the sensor module sends a status signal to the handheld device every 3 seconds to indicate that the sensor is active. A single tap will indicate the ball has been kicked and then a time count starts until a second tap indicating the ball has landed on the ground and the sensor returns to sending signals every 3 seconds.
