PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stagnation of processing on the downstream side in the carrying direction, by surely discriminating even a skew of a medium having a light transmissivity high part on the tip, with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The skew correction device comprises transparent part determining means for determining whether or not the medium has a transparent part in a tip part based on a detection result of first and second medium detection means and skew determining means for determining the skew of the medium when the transparent part determining means determines that the medium has the transparent part in the tip part, and carries the medium to the upstream side by carrying means when the skew determining means determines that a skew amount of the medium is an allowable value or more. |
