The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis, comprising an extract of Crinum asiaticum as an active ingredient. The composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis according to the present invention contains, as an active ingredient, an extract of Crinum asiaticum harmless to the human body, and thus has no side effects. Further, the composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis according to the present invention has an effect in the treatment of osteoporosis, and thus is appreciated to be useful in the treatment of osteoporosis.
