An air conditioner according to the present invention comprises: a compressor compressing refrigerant; an outdoor heat exchanger condensing the refrigerant compressed by the compressor; an expansion unit expanding the refrigerant condensed by the outdoor heat exchanger; an indoor heat exchanger evaporating the refrigerant expanded by the expansion unit; an accumulator installed between the indoor heat exchanger and the compressor; a compressor injection flow path injecting the refrigerant discharged from the outdoor heat exchanger into the compressor; an accumulator injection flow path injecting the refrigerant discharged from the outdoor heat exchanger into the accumulator; and an injection control unit controlling the injection of the refrigerant through the compressor injection flow path and the injection of the refrigerant through the accumulator injection flow path, wherein the refrigerant can be injected to the compressor and the accumulator through the compressor injection flow path and the accumulator injection flow path so that the maximum discharge temperature of the compressor can be maximally lowered and an operation region is maximally widened in case of a cooling overload condition.
