A method and device for modifying a gas turbine engine (100) is disclosed herein. The method for modifying a gas turbine engine (100) includes accessing a first outward end (717) of a first tube (713, 715) installed in the gas turbine engine (100), the first tube (713, 715) having a tube axis (790). Then attaching an extraction tool (802) to the first outward end (717) of the first tube (713, 715), and applying an axial force to the first tube (713, 715) using the extraction tool (802), the axial force relative to the tube axis (790), thus breaking a first interference seal between a first interface surface (718) on a first inward end (716) of the first tube (713, 715) and a receiving member (714) of the gas turbine engine (100). The method continues with removing the first tube (713, 715) from the gas turbine engine (100). |
