PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an undulation detector and an undulation detection method which inform a user of the detection of an undulation equal to or larger than a scale according to an intended purpose.SOLUTION: An undulation detector 1 comprises: a two-dimensional distance sensor 18 which transmits detection waves for distance measurement in a plurality of directions differing in vertical and horizontal angles so as to measure each distance to an object reflecting each detection wave; and a processor 10. The processor 10 performs the processing of detecting an undulation or an obstacle on a measurement surface, which reflects the detection waves, on the basis of distance differences measured in the different directions by the two-dimensional distance sensor, and the processing of outputting undulation detection information in the case where in-plane dimensions of a measurement surface of the undulation or the obstacle are equal to or larger than thresholds. |
