PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct balance of a tracking error signal even during writing.SOLUTION: There is provided an optical disk drive which reads and writes data to and out of an optical disk medium, and the optical disk drive includes an optical pickup, a control section which controls operation of the optical disk drive, a tracking control section which controls tracking using a tracking error signal, and a disturbance generation section which generates a disturbance signal to be superposed on a signal in a feedback loop for controlling the tracking. The control section measures an amplitude of an AC component of the frequency of the disturbance signal included in reflected light from the optical disk medium when data recorded in the optical disk medium is read out and when data is written to the optical disk medium, and makes an adjustment on the basis of a measurement result of the amplitude of the AC component of the frequency of the disturbance signal so that tracking error signals in the reading and writing of the data have the same balance. |
