<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for facilitating planning of a location to place an article. <P>SOLUTION: The system for planning a location to place an article is configured to: display on an HMI (Human Machine Interface) display screen, the shape of each article at a corresponding position on a layout of a storage floor; on receipt of an article identification name of an article whose location is to be set and the time of start and end of the use of the location, call the shape of the article by referring to a physical quantity master file and display it at a predetermined initial position on the screen; designate a destination of the shape of the article displayed at the initial position using an input means of the HMI to thereby dispose the shape of the article at an arbitrary location on the floor layout; and read the coordinates of the location where the shape of the article is disposed to thereby register the location use start and end time and the location coordinates in the article data in the physical quantity master file for the article. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
