PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printability of a liquid crystal-aligning agent at the time of application and light resistance of a liquid crystal display element.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal-aligning agent contains at least one kind of polymer selected from a group consisting of polyamic acids obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, and diamine containing a compound (specific diamine) having a ring structure expressed by the formula (D) and two primary amino groups bonded to a different portion from the ring structure, and polyimide prepared by dehydrating and ring-closing the polyamic acids, where a and b are independently an integer of 0 or more satisfying a+b≥1, provided that a and b are not 1 at the same time). |
