PURPOSE: A composition of color shifting ink for intaglio printing is provided to have an excellent color changing effect, and to have excellent high rate printability, thereby preventing forgery and distinguishing genuine from the counterfeit. CONSTITUTION: A composition of color shifting ink for intaglio printing includes a color-changing pigment; a urethane modified alkyd varnish; a first alkyd varnish; a second alkyd varnish; filler; additives; and solvent. The color-changing pigment consists of a partial reflective layer, a dielectric layer, and reflecting layer. The reflecting layer is chrome. The color-changing pigment is laminated in order of a partial reflecting layer/dielectric layer/reflecting layer/dielectric layer/partial reflecting layer. The urethane modified alkyd varnish has an acid value of 30-35, viscosity of 300-400 poise (25 °C), and a weight average molecular weight of 20,000-25,000.
