The headlamp (10) has a housing (14) with a light exit opening sealed by a cover (16). A light module (12) is arranged in the housing for generating a predetermined light distribution in front of a vehicle. The light module is provided with a light source (18) for emitting light, and is indirectly communicated with an electro-thermal transducer (22). A driving unit is provided for driving the electro-thermal transducer to releases heat in the direction of the light source, so that the temperature in the interior of the housing is increased. An independent claim is included for a method for varying temperature in interior of housing.
