A mobile terminal having a video call function and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes: a display unit (151) configured to allow for a touch input and display a plurality of images received from a plurality of counterparts, respectively, during a video call; a sensing unit (140) configured to sense a touch input with respect to at least one of the plurality of images; and a controller (180) changing the touched image to any one of images related to the touched image. The image to be changed among the related images is determined on the basis of a direction of the touch input.
