The assembly (27) has a cutting groove (13) formed between a lower knife and an intermediate piece for entry of an upper knife (12) such that an upper knife-cutting edge (23) is by-passed at a lower knife-cutting edge. An axial supporting edge of the intermediate piece is arranged opposite to the lower knife-cutting edge. A transition portion with a transition radius is formed between a supporting radius (Rs) at the supporting edge and a cylinder portion (25) of the intermediate piece, where the transition radius is larger than the supporting radius.
