A leaf for a door or window with two separate parallel panels is disclosed. The panels are retained around the edge by a support profile forming a support frame essentially lying between the panels and connecting the same. The support profile comprises an upper horizontal profile section, two vertical profile sections and a lower horizontal profile section, whereby the profile sections are connected to the panels by means of a glued joint. A fixing device is provided by means of which the profile sections are arranged to give a frame before the gluing to the panels. The fixing device is embodied to be removable such that after gluing said profile sections to the panels, the profile sections are held together by means of the panels.
