PURPOSE: A monitoring method for an operating state of a kimchi refrigerator is provided to determine fault by each storeroom and allow users to recognize the operating state through periodically inspection of each storeroom. CONSTITUTION: An operating state monitoring method of a kimchi refrigerator comprises a step for determining whether each storeroom satisfies a checking condition; a step for circulating a refrigerant to the storeroom which satisfies the checking condition after determining that more than one storeroom satisfies the checking condition; a gathering step for sensing the inner temperature of the storerooms which satisfies the checking condition by circulating refrigerant to the storeroom which satisfies the checking condition; and a step for determining the operating state of the refrigerator satisfying the checking condition by analyzing the inner temperature. The determining step for determining whether each storeroom satisfies checking condition also determines whether the refrigerator can maintain an off state for longer than a preset time. The step for circulating the refrigerant to the storeroom satisfying the checking condition periodically circulates refrigerant to the storeroom which satisfies the checking condition in a checking cycle. The step for determining the operating state of the refrigerator satisfying the checking condition determines the operating state of the refrigerator as faulty when an inner temperature of storeroom satisfying the checking condition is constant or increases. The step for determining the operating state of the refrigerator satisfying the checking condition also comprises a step that indicates the result determined for the storeroom satisfying check condition.
