PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation mechanism between a first and a second unit, in which a rack gear is provided to the first unit, a pinion gear is provided to the second unit and when external force is applied from the side surface of the second unit, the pinion gear is rolled on the rack gear while being engaged therewith, so that the second unit is capable of changing an angle while performing rotating movement and translational movement. SOLUTION: A rotation mechanism comprises a first unit in which a rack gear is fixed and a second unit in which a pinion gear is fixed which rolls while being engaged with the rack gear. When the external force is applied to the side surface of the second unit, the rack gear rolls on the pinion gear oppositely to the direction of the applied external force, so that the second unit is capable of performing rotating movement and translational movement to change the second unit at a desired angle with respect to the first unit.
