<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage water heater for preventing degradation of the hot insulation effect caused by the manufacturing errors or the assembly errors. <P>SOLUTION: The storage water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 7 for storing hot water heated by a heating means 2; an exterior case 1 for surrounding the hot water storage tank 7; and a foamed hot-insulation material 26 for executing the hot insulation and heat insulation of the hot water storage tank 7 which is provided in a space between the hot water storage tank 7 and the exterior case 1. The foamed hot-insulation material 26 is divided into at least three sections of: an upper hot-insulation material 27 for covering an upper part of the hot water storage tank 7; an intermediate hot-insulation material 29 for covering an intermediate part of the hot water storage tank 7; and a lower hot-insulation material 28 for covering a lower part of the hot water storage tank 7. Each section is overlapped and joined with an L-shaped lower overlapping part 30 and an inverse L-shaped upper overlapping part 31, which are formed on upper and lower ends respectively. An overlapping adjustment part 34 comprising a spacing between the lower overlapping part 30 and the upper overlapping part 31 and the overlapping length B is provided on the overlapping part thereof in advance.
