<p>Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for detecting a sleeping cell. The system comprises: a control module, configured to generate a test command, the test command being used for instructing to simulate a user equipment and a base station to perform a loopback test on a cell controlled by the base station; an execution module, configured to receive the test command from the control module, simulate a user equipment and a base station according to the test command to perform a loopback test, and output a result of the loopback test to the control module. The control module is further configured to output a sleeping cell detection result according to the result of the loopback test, and the sleeping cell detection result is used for determining whether the cell is a sleeping cell. The embodiments of the present invention can simulate a user equipment to perform a loopback test on a base station of a cell, so as to determine whether the cell is a sleeping cell according to a result of the loopback test and discover a sleeping cell in time without using any user equipment in the cell.</p> |
