<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform water purification by utilizing the level difference between the ebb and flow of a tide to remove sludge in a river, canal, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: In a hinge type sluice gate composed of an upper gate 1 and a lower gate 3, an upper end of the upper gate is raised following to the rising of a sea side water level while the lower gate 3 is closed during high tide and sea side surface layer water is deposited on the upper gate while the water overflows to a river side. The sludge slipping down into a lower groove 15 as the upper gate approaches perpendicularity is sent to and treated in sludge treatment equipment 20, and a lower end of the lower gate is raised to the sea side while keeping the upper end of the upper gate raised during low tide at the time when the level difference between a lowered sea side water level and the river side water level reaches a predetermined value, to flow out the river side water to the sea side, thereby performing water purification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
