METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING AN ELECTRICAL MACHINE

It is intended to simplify the assembly of an electrical machine, and in particular of a generator for a wind turbine generator system. Proposed for this purpose is a method in which first a respective inner segment (3) is pre-assembled on a number of outer segments (2) by means of at least one fixing element (6) in each case, so as to produce a plurality of segment modules (1), in which there is respectively a predetermined air gap (5) between the inner segment (3) and the outer segment (2), wherein the inner segments (3) and the outer segments (2) are assigned to the rotor or stator of the electrical machine. The inner segments (3) of the plurality of segment modules (1) are fastened to an inner means of assembly (for example a hub). The outer segments (2) of the plurality of segment modules (1) are fastened to an outer means of assembly (for example a supporting structure). Finally, the fixing elements (6) between the inner segments (3) and the outer segments (2) are removed. The pre-assembly of such segment modules (1) also brings about advantages in terms of transportation.
