<p>PURPOSE: A hybrid construction machine is provided to regenerate energy generated when an upper rotary body is stopped as power. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid construction machine comprises a lower traveling body, an upper rotary body, a hydraulic circuit device(40), an engine, a motor(25) for rotation, a condenser, and a controller(51). The upper rotary body is rotatably installed on the lower traveling body. The hydraulic circuit device has a hydraulic pump(41), a hydraulic motor(27), a direction and flow control valve, a center bypass cut valve, and a tank. The engine powers the hydraulic pump. The motor assists the operation of the upper rotary body. The controller controls the direction and flow control valve, the center bypass cut valve, and a regulator.
