<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of minimizing the discharge of non-defectives while controlling the discharge of defectives. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of a traveling distance from a defect detection position to a working position of a long belt-like sheet and a length L of a product in a conveyance direction, which product and what position of a detected defect therein are predicted. Corresponding to the predicted position of the defect in the product, a defect detection bit is raised only on a shift register corresponding to the defect detection position to set it as a defective, or in addition to raising the defect detection bit on the shift register corresponding to the defect detection position, the defect detection bits are raised on one, two or more shift registers positioned on the front side and/or rear side to set them as defectives, and the defectives are discharged at a downstream defective discharge position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
