<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet, for a viewer having a viewing angle of 0 degree with respect to the screen center of a display panel, which prevents lower luminance in the upper and lower screen of the display panel, and is capable of improving in-plane luminance unevenness as well as luminance unevenness for a viewer who watches the display panel from an upper side thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An optical sheet comprises, on one surface of a basic material layer, a contrast improvement layer including light transmission parts in parallel along a sheet plane of the optical sheet so as to be capable of transmitting light and light absorption parts in parallel between the light transmission parts so as to be capable of absorbing light, and an adhesive layer for adhering the optical sheet to the display panel. The contrast improvement layer has a uniform in-plane thickness. Each light absorption part of the contrast improvement layer has a cross-sectional trapezoid shape, the height of the trapezoids is constant, and the trapezoids are formed making the lower base thereof lined with one plane of the contrast improvement layer. In addition, the light absorption parts have a constant pitch in one plane, and the cross-sectional trapezoid has a wider upper base and lower base in the center and narrower ones in the upper and lower parts of the optical sheet in the cross-sectional direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
