<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of high-speed arithmetic processing even when performing display output based on a moving image file that has been compressed in advance and stored. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: external storage means 1 for storing a moving image file 12 that has been compressed in advance; control means 2 for generating and outputting frame image data for display based on the moving image file 1 stored in the external storage means 1 for each predetermined display update cycle; and display means 3 for performing display output based on the frame image data output from the control means 2. The external storage means 1 stores, in the moving image file 12, a standard data piece 12a based on a standard image A and difference data pieces (12a, 12c, and 12d) which are obtained by compressing plurality of difference images B corresponding to the standard image A. The control means 2 performs decompression processing for decompressing any one of the difference data pieces and drawing processing in which a difference image B obtained by the decompression processing and the standard image A are synthesized to generate frame image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
