PURPOSE: A multi-domain test and measurement instrument is provided to optimize time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, and time alignment analysis between the domains. CONSTITUTION: An input port(172) receives an input signal. A digitizer(176) digitizes the input signal. A decimator(178) is connected to the digitizer. The decimator decimates a digitized input signal and generates a decimated input signal. A digital down converter(180) is connected to the digitizer. The digital down converter shifts the digitized input signal by frequency and generates the input signal shifted by the frequency. A memory(182) stores the decimated input signal and the input signal shifted by the frequency. |
