<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an update of correction values for correcting unevenness of scanning rate in an optical writing device at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A device for forming image includes: a writing control unit 121 for controlling a light source to allow the light source to radiate a light beam based on information on an image to be formed as an electrostatic latent image, while correcting the unevenness of scanning rate in accordance with the phase shift reference information for correcting the unevenness of scanning rate of the light beam guided by a scanning unit; a sensor control unit 123 for detecting the accession of an image for detecting the unevenness of scanning rate to a predetermined position; and a correction value calculation unit 124 for calculating unevenness of scanning rate based on the detection result to define the unevenness as a detection tolerance, applying the detection tolerance to the calculated unevenness of scanning rate when a predetermined condition is met, and generating phase shift correcting information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
