The system (1) has an adsorption refrigerating unit i.e. refrigerant circuit (17), for cooling a fuel cell i.e. proton conducting membrane fuel cell (2), and an electrical energy storage device i.e. battery (3). Waste heat from a region of supply and/or removal of a medium to/from the fuel cell is formed as a heat source for the refrigerating unit. The heat source is indirectly connected with a separation unit (19) i.e. cylinder, of the refrigerating unit. The heat source is designed as an intercooler (10) for flowing of compressed air to the fuel cell.
