The device (1) has two actuating elements (2, 3) with two flexible force transmission strands (9, 20), which are displaceably guided in flexible actuating sleeves (6, 17), respectively. A coupling device (5) is provided with a drive device. The drive device drives a third force transmission strand (39) of a third actuating element (4) in an actuating direction without driving the two strands during actuating the two strands in the direction. The strands are guided in a plane in a region of the coupling device in parallel. The third strand is displaceably guided in the coupling device. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle door including a door lock.
