<p>A paint tray accessory and assembly (10) provides an impermeable plastic cover (20) and a membrane cover (40) for use with a paint tray (90) and paint roller (80). The membrane cover (40) comprises a first frame member (50), a second frame member (60) and a fluid regulating membrane (70). The membrane (70) is flexible and stretchable which provides means for more evenly coating the sleeve (88) of a paint roller (80) during use. The membrane (70) also provides a tractive surface for the paint roller sleeve (88). The frame members (50, 60) are configured to retain the membrane (70) within the frame members (50, 60) and to protect the membrane (70) during use. The first frame member (50) is intended to remain in position while the second frame member (60) is flexibly rotatable relative to the first frame member (50) at the points of certain "breaks' (41, 43).</p> |
