<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system for reducing power consumption of a network having a network device in a standby state and a network device having a spanning tree function. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a network system 100 having a plurality of first network devices 13 each for determining a transmission path of a network and determining the transmission path again when any fault occurs on the network and a second network device 11 connected to the first network device, wherein the second network device has a power control means 26 for switching between an energy saving mode and an operating mode during which power consumption is larger than that during the energy saving mode, in accordance with an operating situation; and a transmission means 41 for transmitting to the first network device an energy saving mode notice notifying switching to the energy saving mode prior to switching to the energy saving mode by the power control means, and the first network device has a path determination control means 54 for invalidating a function for re-determination of a transmission path when the energy saving mode notice is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
