The seat (1) has a MacPherson strut (4) connected by an upper end at a support element (11) of the seat for resting the strut on a base of the seat of a motor vehicle. The strut presents a support soleplate (3) at a lower end, where the soleplate is supported on a floor pan (5) of the vehicle. A modification unit modifies an angular position of the support soleplate with respect to the strut or support element. A limiting unit limits angular displacement maintaining the soleplate in a predetermined angular range with respect to the strut or support element.
