<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically excellent method of converting ethanol to fuel gas with a high calorific value which can be used as a raw material for city gas. <P>SOLUTION: Ethanol is converted to fuel gas with a calorific value of ≥45 MJ/Nm<SP>3</SP>containing ethane as a main component by bringing the ethanol into contact with a catalyst including at least one selected from palladium and platinum, and a solid acid, in the presence of hydrogen 0.4 to 1.0 time the ethanol in volume ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
